Dear Donors, Partners, and Friends of Book Exchange of Marin,
We are happy to invite you to attend an open house at our newly reorganized facility! Here’s the information:
Saturday, August 17, 2024: Noon to 3 pm
852 Del Ganado Rd., San Rafael, CA (Terra Linda)
Our volunteers have spent the summer rearranging shelves, moving books, cleaning and polishing our space to create a more inviting environment for the local Title 1 elementary and middle school students who come to us on field trips where they receive free books. We can’t wait to host the students in our cozy, re-designed space, and we are excited to show our supporters and friends what we’ve done!
With the support of our wonderful donors, last year we hosted 24 field trips to our facility (as well as additional visits to schools and nonprofits) and gave away over 20,000 books! We hope to increase that number over the coming school year to further our mission of promoting child literacy, encouraging a love of reading, and working to ensure that all under-resourced children have access to books.
